Sarah Stanley
Practice Manager & Paralegal
Sarah has been with our firm since 2021. She has experience in the legal field as a litigation paralegal and legal assistant since 2014. Sarah received an Associate of Applied Science in Paralegal Studies degree and a Paralegal Certificate from Tidewater Community College. Sarah was born and raised in Hampton Roads and has found her home in Chesapeake, Virginia. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time in her garden and doing anything outdoors with her husband and daughter.
Klaudine Caday
Marketing Specialist
Meet Klaudine, our seasoned Marketing Specialist at Slaughter & Lupton Law. With experience in marketing since 2018, Klaudine excels in crafting successful marketing strategies and leading impactful campaigns. She plays a pivotal role in elevating our law firm's digital and community presence, ensuring we connect with those who need it. Out of the office, she enjoys traveling and going to concerts with her friends.
Verisha Coleman
Legal Assistant
The first smiling face you see at Slaughter & Lupton Law is our legal assistant, Verisha Coleman. She works hard in coordinating with your paralegal and supporting the attorney for your case. Since 2020, Verisha has a strong foundation in law with experience in family, criminal, traffic, and employment law. She holds a bachelor’s degree in health administration with an associate’s degree in paralegal studies. When Verisha is out of the office, she works as a makeup artist and loves to dance, paint, and read.
Julia Hessenauer
Paralegal
Meet Julia, a dedicated paralegal bringing invaluable experience to our team. She has extensive knowledge in various legal departments since 2017, including intake, investigation, pre-litigation, General District Courts, and Circuit Courts. Her passion for kayaking and involvement in animal rescue and environmental volunteering showcase her compassionate nature beyond legal matters. Rest assured, Julia's expertise, dedication, and professionalism make her a valuable asset to guide you through your legal journey. Jarell Johnson
Paralegal
With 15+ years in the legal field, Jarell has extensive experience in personal injury, traffic, criminal, family, estate planning, landlord-tenant, business, and bankruptcy law. He currently holds an associate degree in liberal arts and is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree at Christopher Newport University. Outside of work, Jarell prioritizes family time, coaching his five sons in basketball, and enjoying NBA games together. He’s an avid reader, favoring authors like Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and John Grisham, and loves fantasy, sci-fi, and thriller TV shows and movies.
Mirna Lynch
Legal Assistant
Mirna Lynch, a dedicated and detail-focused professional, has been part of the legal community since 2016 and part of the Slaughter & Lupton family since 2019. When she's not working, Mirna cherishes moments with her loved ones, including her husband and son, and finds joy in the simple things in life. She is passionate about her family and dedicated to making a positive impact in her community.
Alicia Midey
Paralegal
Alicia assists our criminal attorneys with their criminal, traffic, military, and agricultural cases. She has an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Paralegal Studies and a Litigation Specialist Certificate from Tidewater Community College. In her free time, she enjoys being outdoors, traveling, and spending time with family.
Taina Ramirez
Paralegal & Interpreter
Taina Ramirez has experience in the legal field since 2005 -- functioning as a legal assistant, pre-litigation paralegal, and litigation paralegal. She has a B.S degree from Pennsylvania State University in Criminal Justice with a minor in Business Administration. She also attended law school at the Southern New England School of Law in 2003–2004. She has worked a majority of her career helping injured clients in Virginia, Maryland, Washington, D.C., and North Carolina. Taina is originally from Puerto Rico and has resided in Virginia since 1991. Taina is bilingual in English and Spanish. She plays the saxophone and enjoys jazz, blues, and classical music.
Alicia Tripp
Client Case Coordinator
As Client Case Coordinator, Alicia matches your case to the legal team that can best support your unique needs. Since 1994, Alicia has paralegal certification and experience in family law, estate planning, criminal, and personal injury law. When out of the office, you can find Alicia spending quality time with her family or protecting our oceans by volunteering with the Network for Endangered Sea Turtles (NEST) in Outer Banks, NC.
