Sarah Stanley
Firm Administrator
Sarah has been with our firm since 2021. She has experience in the legal field as a litigation paralegal and legal assistant since 2014. Sarah received an Associate of Applied Science in Paralegal Studies degree and a Paralegal Certificate from Tidewater Community College.
As firm administrator at Slaughter & Lupton Law, Sarah is integral to the legal process. Her case management skills and streamlined communication with attorneys and staff keep the firm moving efficiently for the best results.
Sarah was born and raised in Hampton Roads and has found her home in Chesapeake, Virginia. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time in her garden and doing anything outdoors with her husband and daughter.

Verisha Coleman

Verisha Coleman is the warm and welcoming Intake Specialist at Slaughter & Lupton Law. She’s the first smiling face you’ll see and the dedicated professional who will listen to your story with empathy and understanding. Verisha expertly coordinates with our team of paralegals to ensure your case receives the utmost attention and care.
Since 2020, Verisha has developed a strong background in family, criminal, traffic, and employment law, and she remains committed to providing exceptional client support throughout the legal process.

Jarell Johnson
Paralegal
With 15+ years in the legal field, Jarell has extensive experience in personal injury, traffic, criminal, family, estate planning, landlord-tenant, business, and bankruptcy law. He currently holds an associate degree in liberal arts and is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree at Christopher Newport University.
Jarell is one of Slaughter & Lupton Law's talented paralegals dedicated to achieving the best results for your personal injury case. Working alongside your attorney, he'll keep you connected with each step of the legal process.
Outside of work, Jarell prioritizes family time, coaching his five sons in basketball, and enjoying NBA games together. He’s an avid reader, favoring authors like Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and John Grisham, and loves fantasy, sci-fi, and thriller TV shows and movies.
Mirna Lynch
Legal Assistant
Mirna Lynch, a dedicated and detail-focused professional, has been part of the legal community since 2016 and part of the Slaughter & Lupton family since 2019.
As a member of our team of legal assistants, Mirna takes what we do to the next level -- keeping us organized and moving efficiently, so all our lawyers have to do is get you the best results for your case!
When she's not working, Mirna cherishes moments with her loved ones, including her husband and son, and finds joy in the simple things in life. She is passionate about her family and dedicated to making a positive impact in her community.
Taina Ramirez
Paralegal & Interpreter
Taina Ramirez has experience in the legal field since 2005 -- functioning as a legal assistant, pre-litigation paralegal, and litigation paralegal.
She has a B.S. degree from Pennsylvania State University in Criminal Justice with a minor in Business Administration. She also attended law school at the Southern New England School of Law in 2003–2004.
She has worked the majority of her career helping injured clients in Virginia, Maryland, Washington, D.C., and North Carolina.
Taina is originally from Puerto Rico and has resided in Virginia since 1991. Taina is bilingual in English and Spanish. She plays the saxophone and enjoys jazz, blues, and classical music.
Carolyn Salamat
Legal Assistant
Legal Assistants, like Carolyn, perform essential tasks to keep your case organized and efficient. Her administrative talents shine as she assists our paralegals and attorneys to get you the best result for your personal injury case.
Carolyn's expertise is unmatched with over 30 years of administrative experience and an associates in applied science degree in Administrative Support Technology. Trained in case management technology and client communication, she's an integral component of your legal team.
When she's not in the office, Carolyn serves on the board of directors and as secretary of her local Homeowners Association. She enjoys spending quality time with family, friends, and her two poodle mix pups.

Since 1994, Alicia has paralegal certification and experience in family law, estate planning, criminal, and personal injury law.
When out of the office, you can find Alicia spending quality time with her family or protecting our oceans by volunteering with the Network for Endangered Sea Turtles (NEST) in Outer Banks, NC.
